I started my musical journey in England. Getting behind a drum kit was a fascinating experience. I later discovered my true talent was selling music.

After promoting bands in local pubs I moved to London and joined Permanent Artistes (also record label of the infamous late John Martyn). I then worked at the Bron Agency (owned by the legendary late Gerry Bron). As a booking agent I arranged tours for Gary Numan, Badlands, Dave Hole, Then Jericho, Lloyd Langton, Wishbone Ash and others. I was fortunate enough to be a part of many music promotions and studio sessions along the way.

I later moved to Seattle and pursued drumming with the garage pop band Wonderlux. We released a CD entitled “A Very Nervous Boy” on flameproofmusic. The CD had moderate success and the band lasted a few years in the Seattle scene. Bands disband, lives change, everyone moves on…I adopted the flameproofmusic monicker.

Sometime later flameproofmusic relaunched as I joined forces with fellow Seattle & Texas natives Transient Songs and got behind the kit again. During this time I also did music promotion for; Gary Reynolds, Transient Songs and The Pyramid Ship.

Good times were had by all but it was time for me to lead the music direction in terms of songwriting, mixing and producing.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, I launched the project electric85 with my friend and musician, Kent Worthington. Over the past few years, I had captured a handful of ideas on an iPad, and I found the perfect writing partner to release some fun songs while in isolation. We released an album and many singles. Building on this foundation, I started collaborating with the musician I’ve known the longest, John Hogg, under the name FLAMEPROOFMUSIC. The journey continues…
