From Piña’s pre-COVID catalog, a core sound emerged: rock—loud and honest. Among the many voices and styles that shaped the approach, Ray Gillen’s soulful, emotionally rich vocals stood out as a lasting influence—never trying to replicate his amazing range, just helping to define Piña’s rock style.

Rediscovering his love for analog grit and Western aesthetics, and guided by a fascination with California’s vastness, he created Piña, Wolfe, West. This project weaves together decades of influence into something renewed, fierce, and unmistakable.
